How It Works

Activated charcoal has high absorptive powers, which means that it draws other elements into itself. Charcoal is activated through heat and exposure to steam and certain chemicals. This process causes the carbon to form enlarged “pores,” which are fissures and pockets in its surface. When it is exposed to contaminants, they literally become trapped in the carbon’s pores. Charcoal also has antibacterial properties that can help heal wounds.

Nice soap

My husband loves these soaps so much, he's gone back through the gift set of all the balms so he can have matching soaps to smell good all around. He said he likes the way they suds up to a rich lather and leaves his skin smooth with no film left behind. Definitely Hugh quality of products and the scents drive me crazy lol

Good soap with certain lotion.

I bought this soap bar because it was cheaper than other soaps on the site. Overall, after the first shower; I was skeptic about the black soap being drained down my tub. The scent is really earthy, charcoal, olive oil, cedar wood scent. It lathers decently if you have a lot of body hair. This soap doesn’t make your skin feel too rubbery compared to name brand or higher end soaps. The bar seems to last pretty well after one wash. Overall, I’ll give this soap a 7/10. I’m willing to try Odin’s Rok before making a decision if this should be in my soap rotation.
